The Stockholm session of the School of Young Managers in Public Administration (SYMPA)
The final session for intake III of the School of Young Managers in Public Administration has been held in late October. Twenty foremost SYMPA students, selected according to their progress in studies during the whole course, were brought to Stockholm to get acquainted with the Swedish system of public administration.
The session was organized by the Swedish Institute for Public Administration (SIPU International) and it mainly focused on practical aspects of the political structure functioning, financial management, local self-governance, system of education and public health. Besides the lectures, the participants visited Riksdag (Swedish Parliament), Ministry of Finance, Swedish National Financial Management Authority and City Hall of Tyresö Municipality, Stockholm County. These visits gave the participants a possibility to see how the Swedish state system does operate in different terms as well as to discuss its features with acting public servants.
The study tour was supplemented with a cultural programme including a visit to the Vasa Museum.
In conclusion of the session, the participants were awarded SIPU certificates of successful completion of the School of Young Managers in Public Administration.
SYMPA Administration congratulates the graduates and welcomes them to the Alumni Club. Official admission to the club was held in Minsk, on 10 November.
